This project focused on redesigning the identity for the Museum of Modern Art (moma) from the ground up. We were challenged to come up with a new logotype ranging from three colors to black and white, a new color scheme, business cards, letterhead, envelopes, and splash screens to introduce the new look to the patrons of the museum. Finally we were to put together an Identity Guide and Graphics Standards Manual setting guidelines for every aspect of the museums identity. Inspired by the arcitecture, blinds, and some of the artwork I found while researching, I settled on an identity that used fine, round type and a series of vertical lines in a rich blue that varied in weight and placement, interacting with the logo and different elements in dynamic and interesting ways.
